Bus School, Testing, and TBL

Bus Driving School
- short and sweet sucks! we watched a movie yesterday about what a bus does in slow motion when it hits a pole... "at .3 seconds the steering when breaks and the driver goes toward the dash... at .7 seconds the seat will break off its bolts and slam forward, but the driver won't mind, he's already dead" Seriously it said that almost verbatim! AND I am not looking forward to this bus driving thing -- i might kill a kid (or a cone) scary stuff!!

Benchmark Testing
- I know how important it is to test early and know that it is imperative to the learning environment to have a starting point to compare to, however I HATE SPENDING 4 DAYS LOCKED UP IN THE SAME ROOM WITH THE SAME KIDS IN SILENCE!! You know how hard it is to keep 7th graders quiet for 7 hours... even worse, do you know how hard it is to keep ME quiet for 7 hours... But my group this year rocks, and they work hard on their tests and do stay very quiet - I am lucky!

The Biggest Loser
- I have a funny feeling that this might be the topic of my posts for a while... THEY PICKED THE BIGGEST BUNCH OF LOSERS THEY COULD FIND and not in a good way! The wimps are talking about quitting on the FIRST DAY!! Please, Jillian, come to Bryan, interrupt my class, pick me up and we'll drop by and get Tryphena down the hall and we will never quit! I would NEVER give up and start crying because you told me to do a wall sit! Oh my goodness ridiculous! I would sure beat all of these pansy's... and the ones they kicked off were the only 2 people that didn't complain once! augh
