a change...

Everything has changed.  Its just me now - and that is okay! Life throws curves into the mix, but more dangerous than a curve ball is to throw the same pitch over and over again... and that is where I was.

If you know me, and are concerned and care to know more - ask... other than that, know that I'm up and moving and ready to take on the world.

School Season

So it is 3 am... I've been at it since I woke up from my nap around 7:30 :)

I am SO excited!  As of RIGHT now, I have lesson plans, master copies, videos, blogs, quizzes and discussion boards DONE for the first 3 weeks of school.  All I have to do left for my room is finish cutting the letters from my cricut - it is set up, just have to get it cut & put up!

I've ALSO made the team's planning calendar for the YEAR :) If we stick to it, we'll be ahead well enough and have time to do STAAR stuff & End of year resting!  Lets hope it all works out!

I'm very excited to start this year!  Its been a while since I've been this ready & excited!  Good Night!

Box Jumps...

No Longer step-ups for me!!!!  I DID real box jumps not just once, but for the whole workout!!!

Goal 1 DONE! up next... double unders!

Rodeo Season

Life has been crazy, but last night we went to the A&M rodeo... it was fun! (No where near as good as San Antonio Livestock & Rodeo, but still good).

I got to se goat roping - a cheating sport - and a goat got away and escaped! Hilarious!!!

Then in the last round of bull riding, the rider got flipped high off the head of the bull, which seemed neat right up until the bull fighter jumped in the way of the bull getting the rider again, and flew AT LEAST 10 feet in the air! So cool & scary!

It was pretty close to a year since we've been to a rodeo together, so we took a picture :) 

Pampered Chef

Tonight I conducted my very first Pampered Chef cooking show! (for 2)LOL But it went well, and I think that we'll get enough to be the show!  My dear friend Jo Ann was the Host & the one who's advice pushed over the teeter totter of to sell or not to sell.

Hat rack

I was sick and tired of the husband using coat rack as a hat rack, so while he was gone for NYE - I made this hat rack!  I measured the wall between the closet and window was ~5 cowboy hats, so I went to Lowes (closed by my 8:45 random decision to start) as was Home Depot -so I tried Walmart.  Hooks are cute - were about $2 each.  Then I just wanted to grab a few pieces of scrap wood to see what thickness I would want to buy "tomorrow" and found a long thin scrap piece.  I took it in and it fit PERFECTLY didn't have to cut a thing.  Then I just attached the hooks to the wood then hammered it into the wall.  Taaadaaa - hat rack.  

I looked for all kinds of quotes and such I could put above it - liked "Any old place I can hang my hat is home sweet home to me".  I thought about vinyl and then remembered I had that frame from a project a long time ago that I didn't need anymore.  So i designed a fun way to use the quote with my cricut - then remembered this picture & the "engineer print" thing from pinterest.  I went to OfficeMax.com and tried to price how much it would be to make a print that size... $2.11!!!  Cut to the EXACT size of the frame (which I now know that I need to make it a little larger than that b/c they don't have any outside paper at all).  I had some foam board from an old project that I cut & taped to fill in the big empty frame - and mod podged the picture to it.  Now, I'll be honest - there are some major bubbles and 1 descent size crack/fold in it.  But its high on the wall, hard to see - and honestly it looks GREAT where it is!  Even better is the fact that there was already a nail exactly where I needed one for the frame :) 

Excited to start 2013 with one more thing in my life organized!  And now its like I got a hat rack & coat rack in one day!  So my happy winter jackets and sweat shirts have a place to hang too!

Day 13 & Day 14

Day 13 & 14: My mom and dad.  I have the very very best parents in the world.  They are so very awesome.  I could talk for hours and hours about how wonderful they are!  I wont.. just know - they are THE best!
