Yeah - random title... but it is very true in this post: This girl wants to keep a clean house without stressing out about it. I know it is NO surprise to anyone, but I was not born a neat person... I don't have the gene that says to clean when you're bored... and I have NEVER just felt the need to clean the house.
A dear friend of mine showed me this website: flylady! This summer I started "fluttering" and was doing great - then we moved... my entire routine was off, and hasn't found its way back.
That was until TODAY! (ish)
I wanted to create a workable calendar to remind me of what I needed to get done each week, but couldn't figure out exactly what I wanted it to look like. I made this calendar a long time ago... i found the frame at a thrift store for $1.50 and had the rest of the stuff here at the house.

I then was so excited because it fit EXACTLY where I wanted to make my calendar! BUT--- how to make this a workable, re-usable calendar that is still aesthetically appealing in my office. I also wanted it to be something that stared me in the face EVERY day to remember I have put the effort into wanting this for my home. In my craft room I designed a three pin board with these 2 buckets in between for the wall my desk faces. Below is the middle of it - my new storage/reminder for my calendar days!

Though the tins now say "peace" I'll be painting them after the holidays (they fit now!) AND Thanks to the wonderful machine from my momma... I made my C.H.A.O.S. board! (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome) Flylady uses this as a reminder of how we live, I'm using it as a different reminder - because when I do this - I CAN Have Anybody Over Sucka!
This week will be a very, VERY busy week with our house-guests coming in! (SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!) but I'll be in Zone 4... Living Room... Here is my calendar in action!
Notice there is NOTHING to do on Saturday - and Sunday didn't even make the calendar... the entire system is based on about 15 minutes a day and you'll have your weekend to play! All that has to happen is on Monday, Javier & I have to do what is on the list for Monday... Tuesday, we have to do what is on the list for Tuesday... and so forth. This week is heavy early on because of the visitors coming Thursday... but normally it'll be about 2-3 things a day.
To quote the fly-lady, you can do anything for 15 minutes... so set a timer & go! :)
