For some time now I have wanted to find a good system to help me remember birthdays of people I am close to so I can send birthday cards. I LOVE birthday cards!
Well, thanks to Pinterest, I have found my birthday calendar!
I decided that I would give one as my Christmas gift to my Inlaws. So I put Lopez and est. 1977 (the year they were married) Yes I know the 9 looks like a 0, but its the only font I had. Theirs was my first time learning how to distress the paint so it looks old... The board I used for theirs was definitely too small. Those star's are TINY! Javier's an only child, so it looks like there isn't much, but I didn't know the reset of the family's birthdays. I will be adding to this next time I go to town.

Then I though - I'll make one for everyone... Grandma & Paw Haines - est 1958, Mom & Dad Haines - est 1981, DJ & Christine (almost Haines) - will be est. 2012 - and my (hopefully) favorite - Lopez, est 2010 :)

The above is for my Grandma Haines. They have been married for over 50 years and going strong - what a great basis for a family!

This is DJ & Christine's - since they're about to be married I went with the est.2012 because it'll make them feel confident in their start. Christine's family is large - as you can tell - but her mom & dad have each been married more than once (not that there is anything wrong with that) - but I think that being part of the Haines tradition will hold them together forever!
My Cricut is the most amazing machine ever - i've used it now with the contact paper& can paint ANY letter/shape I want! ~ Not to mention I've discovered that it will cut masking tape!!! woo hoo!
The only one I am not done with is ours.
