Friends...

I'm sitting here watching tv and see a commercial about the things your friends do for you... REFLECTION TIME...

I have some amazing friends... friends I've known for decades (Susie & Suki to name a couple) Friends I've had for years... and friends I've only known a short while... Friends I've lost, friends I have lost and found, and those who will never go away.

My favorite part of having good friends is that it does not matter how long we are apart, the moment we are together - it feels like yesterday. Never that awkwardness of not knowing what to talk about! OOH and the OBSCENE amount of laughter! How we love the company of each other - it is so wonderful.

The part that solidifies my deep love for my friends is that gut wrenching feeling when we part - and I realize that we didn't really just see each other yesterday, it had been months, years.. too long... and odds are - it'll be that long before our next visit!

This June has been friend-tastic! Amy Woodall's bridal shower brought me to SA, where I was also granted with some great time with Amy & Holly & Natalee! Then Stavena made it to Caldwell, so we met with her - Oh how fun! Then Monday my very best friend Suki was driving through Houston to visit family and she made time to see me... us. We met up at my folk's house and laughed and laughed and laughed!

I spoke of those friends I made a long time ago... but don't fret - I won't neglect those that have made my new life in College Station complete. When we moved here there were several people here for our transition - those friends won't ever be forgotten, but they are not the ones that have been added to the "list". Dawn - and her entire family - has become one of my favorite people... The best part is that we visit nearly daily! We share a passion for educating kids -but completely get along without work.
Kelli -and her husband - have also become a gift to us. Refreshing and sweet - she makes me work harder to be a better person.

This is not meant to exclude anyone, nor brag on those I've spoken of directly... this is just plain and simply I love my friends - and am VERY lucky to have them!
