3 years down -- forever to go

So right around this time 3 years ago, Javier - so cute and nerdy - asked me to be his girlfriend :) It was so adorable, he walked me up to my door step, said he wasn't sure if I was seeing anyone else, but if I was he wanted me to stop so we could date exclusively -- I kissed him and said of course... I didn't know that he had been dating a few other people, and he picked me :) I went out that night with the girls - and we all cheered and behaved like little giddy school girls at the bar... we all knew that night that it was it!

3 years -- it feels like a lifetime and yet seems like only a week has gone by... so much has changed since that night - I graduated from TLU, I moved back home, I got my first 2 teaching jobs - we moved in together (with suciu and EJ). Lost loved ones - Javier was there for me through the loss of my grandfather and grandmother. we shared tons of firsts, a few lasts, then we took on a huge journey to College Station... I told Suciu that if we made it through that first year here, we'd make it through anything.. I was right - the year brought many changes, many struggles, many goodbyes, but it brought more smiles, laughs, memories and hello's. We got a puppy, we lost a puppy - we then got another puppy (who is amazing) we had 2 baby bunnies - we now have given all 4 away... I have started grad school (well, I will in 2 weeks) and get to coach! Javier has discovered what he wants to do in life -- and it is something we share!

My family is changing - they're moving closer :0) his family bought their dream! Everyone we know is moving forward in life and everything has gone great! We've found some amazing new friends (Aron and Mary - to name a couple) We've seen some old ones get married - Missy and Chris, Stephen and Mandy... We've seen births - Art and Dominica, Crystal and Joe... We've dealt with a huge split (that changed our future slightly)

School is about to start - and I am looking forward to a great year! I love that we started our love in August - it is the month of new beginnings (for all teachers that is) it will always be a way for us to "restart" our life together... Each year will bring new beginnings... This doesn't flow right, it doesn't make sense - i teach math not writing :) but this is how my brain works on days like today... I was mad at him all day - then he walked in with flowers (the first bouquet of flowers he's ever bought me) Beautiful flowers, and a card... the first card he's ever given me for an anniversary... Then he gave me a rock... a small rock - that says love... just when I think I've got him figured out - he surprises me again.

So I am now off... so little time left before we start up the new year! Have a great one!
