Then he randomly showed up at the house with 12 railroad ties and said "We are building a vegetable garden" OOK ... that process was great! He had a plan of a good rectangle garden... that was until he left me alone while he was at work, and this is the plan I came up with.

So he agreed it would be ok -- never anything easy for me :) So we worked and worked and got the box finished

Notice the tree-shade that is over our garden here... I did not like that tree-shade, so while Javier was in the shower, i cut it down :-D (well, started it and then he had to come help me because it was a bigger branch than i thought)
Then his parents brought up some manure and we laid it and the top soil ready for planting!

See the shade is gone!!! No tree :-D
Then we made another trip to the big HD and went VEGGIE CRAZY -- we planted what we could and have tons more seeds to plant another day?

Going from left to right we have... Tomatoes - onions - bell peppers, jalapenos and Cucumbers - rosemary, thyme and basil, Carrots are against the diagonal wall - then corn along the back wall and watermelon and cantaloupe. We still have peas, habaneros, green beans and sweet snap peas to plant somewhere :-D Guess we'll have to build another box!!!
I know the shade is back in this picture, but it was near the end of the day and you can't stop house shade :-/
Javier did some figuring and we should have cucumbers and tomatoes by the end of May :-D YAHOO!!
