I am never taking the kids to get shots...

That'll have to be Javier's job.

Dixie woke up 2 nights ago yelping in pain, there were a couple lumps on her upper back/neck/armpit area developing on Friday night-ish, but being the cheapo parents we are, we didn't want to pay emergency vet costs... so I was going to wait until today.. pay day.. but Dixie had other plans. So Monday morning bright and early I call the vet set up an appointment. She was miserable! She YELPED when I put her in the car, and yelped even more when the Vet was prodding the lumps. I cried like a baby! (for those who don't know, we adopted a puppy 2 years ago at Christmas who had distemper and died 3 days after we adopted him... all I could think about was Cheif and how horribly sad I was after 3 days... imagine 4 months!) The vet said she hasn't ever seen anything quite like it (which makes both of my dogs now have stumped vets! What the heck!) So they kept her overnight, drugged her up and called the next morning. Said she should be fine, the lumps are hardening which is suposed to be good, and to keep her away from JOJO for a week and bring her back. They think she digested rat poison! How horrible for my poor little girl!!! So she's on meds, still in some pain, and the lumps are still there! I hope this clears up soon, I'm dying to play with her!! And JoDee has no idea what is going on, but is confused as can be!

Still haven't moved that kitchen in yet! Have to be out in 8 days... we can do it!

I hope Dixie has rebounded and you are all over the brush with rat poison (?!!!!) and enjoying your new place.

How sad! I know how I feel when my doggies aren't themselves.
