10 reason's this is a great day!

In light of my love's 28th (yes he's old) birthday, I thought I'd do a Top ten reasons I am thankful for him...

1. He cooks... oh can he cook! I know I talk about it all the time, and if you read "my journey" you know that his cooking could be the reason I fail, but I know this talent of his will be our survival in a few years, and it will be amazing to share with him!
2. His smile.. its rare that we all get to see it, he tends to smirk or just stay straight faced on a daily basis, but his smile makes me melt...
3. His ability to make me smile... all he has to do is look at me, or try to tickle me.. no one makes me smile like he does (yes I know I smile a lot) but I love that I can think of him and not stop smiling
4. His brain... He is so smart - and a smart A** - but I haven't ever known someone like him... he is so intelligent, I love asking and listening to his advice, I love talking about the world with someone that has a clue... I am in love with his brain!
5. His family... He has great parents, I am lucky to know them. His mom has a huge heart, and his dad is a wealth of knowledge - even dealing with education! I can have great discussions at his house!
6. His Singing... he has a great voice - but more than the way it sounds, it is how excited he gets by singing a song. He loves music, and its nice to know that if there isn't a radio around, I can still hear my favorite songs!
7. His desire to learn new things.. he isn't satisfied with his current knowledge - always working to learn more things and skills - he's getting good at the guitar
8. His boots -- i love a man in boots, who wouldn't, but one of my favorite memories is of him being a little inebriated and i had to take off his boots -- he said that was how he knew I loved him, I took off his boots -- ha ha.. I complained the whole time, but still he appreciated it
9. His love of sitting at home... he is very happy just sitting at home with me. Not always talking or doing anything, he just really likes for us to be home together - its cute!
10. Mostly I love that he was willing to drop every ounce of security we held in San Antonio, just to move here to get a degree (slowly but surely) just so my parents would approve of us. It takes a strong person to go back to school, especially when you have a great job... Without that, I would not be here... I would not be me.

I know I usually say he's a pain and laugh when people talk about him, but I am really lucky to have him in my life, and can't wait to see what every day holds for us.

So thanks Martha and Rudy for having him -- you made my life worth it!
