A great day!

Wednesday was my birthday - yay! 26- yeah that's old... I started my day as usual: alarm goes off at 4:45... time to get up - with JoJo on my face, I got up and did my morning ritual... off to work, it is 5:20...To my surprise my mom called bright and early to wish me a happy birthday (a first in my life that she's called my in the morning to tell me :) then not 3 minutes after I hang up with her, my Dad called (it would have been sweeter if he did not say "mom said I had to call, so I called" but it was the thought - i guess). Practice was great! The girls worked really hard and had fun. The school day came -- I tried some new things I learned from my training on Tuesday (I figure if they thought that guy was important enough to keep me out of my classroom for the whole day, I better use something) So I decided to try the whole "love everyone" plan... it was nice having the kids compliment each other -- Today is now Friday, and some of that "love" has dwindled away, but they're still trying -- Lunch was provided by our A&M students - not for my birthday - but just because (even though I'll always claim it was my party) Still haven't heard a peep from Javier... I was getting a little frustrated... While at work I had to hurry and finish a paper that was due in class that night, and I got enough done to not get in trouble.. Class was fun, we played a game with the clicker things that keeps track of who got what percent right - yeah I was first (and the prof even played) sweet! So I was excited on my way home about that but still mad, had I heard a word from Javier? NO! I came through the door, and JoJo welcomed me - he was upstairs. He came down and asked if I felt old - i smirked with annoyance... he then asked if I wanted my gift now or later (and no it was not a ring... I told someone the story and they were disappointed in the end result because they were aiming a little too high, so stop thinking that and pay attention) I said whatever/whenever so we went upstairs to put JoJo away before we left for dinner - and he told me to sit down and close my eyes (I knew it wasn't a ring - so no that was never a thought) all of a sudden our song was playing - I wont share which song, because it will be our wedding song one day and I don't want anyone to steal it ;) - I opened my eyes and he got one of those digital picture frames that plays music and created a slide show of all pictures of us... there were some pictures I hadn't ever seen before, others that I haven't seen in years, and of course all of my favorites! Javier's not a romantic guy -- but this was perfect! I sure did tear up a bit (he fixed the moment with "stop being a girl and lets go eat") But it was awesome. All of the songs on it are beautiful and I never expected anything like it! He did a great job! so we went to dinner (Italian - one of the 3 days a year I get it) at this place called Luigi's - it was so pretty inside and the food was great!

The night was wonderful, and I wanted to stay up longer to spend time with him, but I had to be at work at 5:45 again the next day, so he laid in bed with me until I fell asleep - it was perfect!

So today I was talking to my mom (of course I told her about the frame and everything that next morning) and she told me that she was mad at Javier - again... I really didn't know why this time... apparently she told my aunt and my dad that she wanted to get me a digital picture frame for Christmas this year and already picked out the one she wanted to get! I felt bad a little - but still told her I would take another one to even out the room :) she didn't think that was a good idea... But she is starting to joke more with and about Javier - life is coming together perfectly :)

Ok, well I'm sleepy and we've got people coming over, but thanks to all for the birthday wishes and have a great one!

DANG! I thought it was a ring too! I actually told Cory the night before your birthday that I wanted Javier to propose. Haha.

I LOVE the picture frame idea that is FANtastic! I wish my husband would do something sweet like that for me. What a cool idea! I didn't know that they played music too...I think I may need to mention this to Cory!

I'm glad that you had a wonderful day, you deserve it!
