Falling...
... last night I went to hang out with a couple of friends of ours, had a blast! We did nothing really, but it was tons of fun - oh and the laughing, my abs are sore because of all the laughing. I was leaving their house, stepped don the stairs, and fell... I mean busted my butt, on my face - FELL. I scraped my knee, and tore off half of my big toe nail - I thought my toe was broken!!! It's not, don't worry, but wow does it hurt! Falling - on my face as a grown woman... in the words of my students "embarrassed"

... If you have ever lost someone/thing close to you , you know that gut wrenching falling of our stomach. at 8:00 this morning, my mom called - mind you my mom has only called me that early in the morning 3 times before... Joanie died, Scrappy died, and when Grandma died, my stomach fell... All I could think is who died, no one was dying - all the previous deaths were expected... Grandma? Grandpa? did DJ get in a wreck? Did Jan do something? What could be wrong? What came next was very unexpected (and I'm sure if you don't have a pet, you wont understand what a big deal this is) My parents have a German Shepherd named Paje - she's 10, but really healthy... well, we thought she was really healthy. Paje died, my stomach fell again, tears in my eyes, and all I could do was listen to my heart falling through the floor - she was the BEST dog ever, Mom said when Dad found out, he punched a wall, Dj fell to the ground, and she just stood there in disbelief. She had gone to the vet yesterday - vet said she had a kidney infection, gave her some medicine and said she would be swollen and foam at the mouth... it would be nothing... 5 hours later, my family had to take her to the emergency vet place, and she died of some intestinal thinggy that they say couldn't have been predicted... my heart -- falling

...Javier and I have been in a bit of a disagreement over the holidays, and it has been stressful, but last night while at our friends' house, he was just so hilarious, so wonderful... Falling... every time he giggles or plays with JoJo, i feel myself falling for him even more... I know that it will be an exciting life, and so filled with joy -- corny as it is... falling
